Frequently asked questions
What Houseloop is, how pricing and the free trial work, and how the app helps your household share the load. Need more? Visit support or email support@houseloop.app.
What is Houseloop?
Houseloop is a family follow-through and baby-tracker app that helps parents share the mental load. Capture any task by voice, text, or screenshot, hand it to the right person, and let the app remind them instead of you. One subscription covers the whole household, and it runs on the web and iOS, and in the browser on Android.
How much does Houseloop cost, and is there a free plan?
Yes, there is a free plan. It covers up to three active tasks shared between you and one other person, plus one free AI Brain Dump, so you can try the handoff loop before paying. Houseloop Plus unlocks everything for the whole household at $7.99 a month or $69.99 a year, billed once per household, and the monthly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
Is one plan enough for my whole family?
Yes. A single subscription is billed once per household, not per seat, so a second adult and the kids cost nothing extra. Everyone in the household shares the same Plus features.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Your subscription is managed by the store you bought it from. On iPhone or iPad, cancel from Settings, then your Apple Account, then Subscriptions. On Android, cancel from the Google Play Store under Subscriptions. On the web, manage it from your account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Plus until the current period ends.
How do I sign in or reset access to my account?
You can sign in with email, Apple, or Google. If you joined a household with a one-time code (format HL-XXXXXX), your code plus your name is your way back in, so no email or password is required. If you are stuck getting into your account, email support@houseloop.app and we will help.
How do reminders work?
When you hand a task or chore off, the reminders go to the person who owns it, on their phone, not back through you. Recurring items can rotate owners on a schedule, so nobody has to be the human alarm clock and no one keeps a mental tally of whose turn it is.
What does the planner do?
The planner is your shared view of what is assigned, what is done, and what is left across the whole family. It syncs on the web and iOS, and in the browser on Android, so there is one source of truth instead of parallel lists and double-doing.
How does the focus timer work?
The focus timer helps you work through a task or routine in a set block of time and chimes when the block is done, so you can stay on one thing instead of juggling everything at once.
What is chore roulette?
Chore roulette draws chores at random and assigns them fairly across the household, so nobody has to decide who does what. It can re-draw on a weekly schedule, keeping the split fresh without a negotiation every week.
How does the baby tracker work?
The baby tracker covers feeds, nursing per side, sleep, diapers, growth, and milestones, and syncs live between both caregivers. Log a feed or a nap on one phone and the other parent or a sitter sees it right away.
Can I add my partner, kids, or a sitter?
Yes. Invite family members to your household, or share a one-time join code (format HL-XXXXXX) so someone can join with no email, Apple, Google, or password. Members can be assigned tasks and get their own reminders.
What can a guest see?
Invited guests can view the household read-only: they see the family surfaces but cannot create, edit, or delete. The one thing a guest can do is mark a task assigned to them as done. It is view access for the whole app, with editing restricted rather than viewing.
How does Houseloop handle my privacy?
Houseloop is built for families sharing sensitive day-to-day details, so your household data stays private to your household. You can read the full policy on the privacy page, and you can request account and data deletion at any time. For any privacy request, email support@houseloop.app.
How do I get help?
Email support@houseloop.app for account, billing, privacy, or safety questions, or to report a concern. The support page has more detail on each of these, and we read every message.
